Hello, my name is Marina. I have been teaching violin lessons since 2015 and am currently working on a Bachelor of Music at Cornish College of the Arts.

While there is no single method I use to teach violin, I often utilize the Solos for Young Violinists series by Barbara Barber and the Suzuki book series, and will integrate scales and fundamental theory concepts from the beginning. These things are intended to create a solid foundation but I also encourage my students to explore music that is exciting and motivating to them, whether that is classical music, folk music, contemporary music, or a variety of different styles.
